2015 Legends of Wine Event

Sacramento’s Farm to Fork Festival season kicks off with Legends of Wine on Thursday, September 19, 2019.

Sure, Napa is just a few miles down the road. But the Sacramento region may be giving Napa Valley a run for its money; the biggest crop coming out of Sacramento County last year was wine grapes.

Sacramento’s 7th annual Legends of Wine event celebrates Northern California’s best vintages. Explore unlimited pours from over 30 regional wineries at the California State Capitol. Each variety is exclusively selected by wine legends Darrell Corti and David Berkley.

What’s wine without some tasty eats to pair with?

Select Sacramento-region restaurants will be onsite sharing delectable bites of farm-to-fork cuisine to go with your wine selections.

Celebrating Sacramento: America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital

Sacramento Legends of Wine

Years before Sacramento was officially declared “America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital”, the Farm-to-Fork festival was celebrating the region’s incredible agricultural and food contributions.

Ever since Josh Nelson (Selland Family Restaurants) approached Visit Sacramento with a vision in 2012, the City has been honoring the amazing food and agriculture produced across the region with the Farm-to-Fork Festival events.

Each year, the festival draws thousands of visitors from across the country and even the world.

With an abundance of regional farms and ranches — more than 1.5 million acres and 160 crops — and home to over 40 regional farmers markets, Sacramento is truly home to a robust variety of fresh, local ingredients.

Sacramento is also carving out a reputation as the best up-and-coming food destination in the US. Home to a growing number of innovative, acclaimed chefs and award-winning restaurants, Sacramento is a foodie’s dream.
